Marc Blazer

Chairman & CEO

Marc is the Chairman & CEO of Overture Investment Partners, an investment firm with interests in hospitality and consumer businesses.

He is Chairman of the Board of Noma Holdings and co-founder and Director of Ahimsa Partners, a venture that licenses, owns, and operates hospitality businesses in India. Additionally, he is a co-founder of BMB Hospitality BV, a Netherlands-based company that is the owner of restaurants in Vietnam.

From November 2009 until January 2011, Marc was the CEO of Protagoras Capital, and a managing director of its parent BTIG, an institutional trading firm. From August 2007 until January 2010, Marc was President of Overture Acquisition Corp., a NYSE/Amex listed consumer brand investment vehicle.

From November 2000 to August 2007, Marc was a partner and the global head of investment banking at Cantor Fitzgerald. While at Cantor Fitzgerald, Marc served on the advisory board of Enertech Capital III, a venture capital fund from March 2006 to July 2007. He was named one of Investment Dealer’s Digests 40-under-40 in 2006. Prior to joining Cantor Fitzgerald, Marc spent six years at ChaseMellon Financial Corp. (now Bank of New York Mellon), a joint venture between Chase Manhattan Corporation and Mellon Financial Group LLC from 1994 to 2000.

Earlier in his career, Marc was an advisor to members of Congress in both the US House of Representatives and Senate on tax matters, banking and securities legislation, international trade policy, and foreign relations. 

Marc earned a graduate degree from the London School of Economics in 1992, and a BA from the University of Maryland in 1990. Marc is a member of the Advisory Board of Kopernik, a US non-profit organization focused on marrying life-enhancing technologies with underserved communities in developing countries.
